Week 8: Denver over KC, New England electrifies Chargers

Let's Get right into it.
Week 7 Results...
Straight-up: 12-3
Spread: 8-7

I nailed my lock of the week in the Super Bowl rematch, but went 2-2 on my dawg picks.
This byes this week: New York Giants, Arizona, Los Angeles Rams, Tennessee, Green Bay, Jacksonville

Thursday
(4-2) Miami  23, (3-4) Baltimore 26
Spread: Miami +3.5

The Ravens edge one out in the dying seconds leading to lengthy Tucker field goal.

Sunday
(5-2) Minnesota 24, (0-7) Cleveland 9 In London
Spread: Minnesota -9.5

Even across the pond I can't take Cleveland. They're still the Browns and Minnesota is convincing me that they, and by they I mean Case Keenum, are legit.

(4-3) Carolina 17, (2-4) Tampa Bay 21
Spread: Tampa Bay -2.5

Winston isn't looking right but I still like them at home to get it going into a playoff position.

(3-4) Chicago 10, (4-2) New Orleans 30
Spread: New Orleans -8.5

Drew Brees will torch the Bears secondary. I'm not a fan of John Fox and it's likely his team perform poorly in the big easy.

(3-3) Atlanta  20, (3-4) New York Jets 23
Spread: New York Jets +4.5

Atlanta has been skidding and the Jets are proving to be a tough team to play. If Atlanta are to pull out of it they'll need to ignite Matt Ryan's arm. He has not looked the same since Buffalo brought him down on the road. Atlanta has struggled against the AFC East and I feel like the Jets will make it 0-4.

(0-7) San Francisco 10, (6-1) Philadelphia 30
Spread: Philadelphia -12.5

This one is simple. the Eagles are among the elite right now, San Francisco is not.
Eagles should put a beating on the Niners.

(2-5) Indianapolis 19, (2-4) Cincinnati 23
Spread: Indianapolis +9.5

Jacoby Brissett has worked his tail off to keep the Colts afloat. Aside from the visit to Seattle the team has performed better than expected without Andrew Luck. Cincinnati have been just as inconsistent. These teams are often similar and should make for a close contest.

(3-4) Oakland 31, (4-2) Buffalo 27
Spread: Oakland +2.5

Under Jack Del Rio the Raiders have been formidable as a west-coast team traveling to the east.
I'm taking Oakland to show up after the emotional win last week over KC. My buddy Dan will be at this game supporting his Raiders so I'd be a jerk to go against his team.

(3-4) Los Angeles Chargers 30, (5-2) New England 34
Spread: LA Chargers +7.5

Rivers has began a turnaround for the Chargers. Now what is the LA's newest obstacle: going to Foxborough. The Patriots are no longer that team from week 1. Rivers will give them a challenge, but New England sends him home with a loss.

(3-3) Houston 26, (4-2) Seattle 29
Spread: Houston +5.5

It isn't easy to pick against Deshaun Watson. The rookie has been on fire like no other since becoming the man in Houston. Going to the loudest building in the league will show how much he has developed in this short span. Seattle's defense consumes rookie quarterbacks. I strongly feel Watson is up for the challenge.

(3-3) Dallas 27, (3-3) Washington 23
Spread: Dallas -2.5

Over the last couple seasons it seems the road team takes the win when these two play. That would put the win in Dallas' column. You like that, Cousins?

(5-2) Pittsburgh  26, (3-3) Detroit 21
Spread: Pittsburgh -3.5

This is a tough one to pick. I'm taking the Steelers, but not confidently. Detroit can only beat teams with losing records. Pittsburgh has been very suspect on the road. Anything can happen here.

Monday
(3-3) Denver 27, (5-2) Kansas City 26
Spread: Denver +7.5

Okay, Denver hasn't looked like Denver lately and KC is running into issues of their own. This game actually brings allure back to Monday night. Most believe KC is the better team, which may be, but I like Denver to return to form and take this game on the road.

Lock of the week: Philadelphia
Dawg Pound picks: Indianapolis +9.5
                                Houston +5.5
                                LA Chargers +7.5
                                Denver +7.5
